SilverStone RM43-324-RS is the latest high-performance server chassis for professional storage environments. As the successor to the RM43-320-RS, the RM43-324-RS features 24 hot-swappable 2.5" / 3.5" drive bays, compared to the 20 bays of its predecessor within the same 4U height form factor. To fully utilize this expanded capacity, the backplane has been upgraded with 4 additional ports, supporting multiple SAS or SATA drives and maintaining data transfer speeds of up to 12 Gb/s per lane. While the primary difference lies in the front hot-swappable trays, the rest of the chassis remains identical to its predecessor. Internally, the RM43-324-RS supports motherboards up to the SSI-EEB, with a full complement of 7 standard-profile PCI expansion slots, making it well-suited for professional, server-grade storage applications. Surrounding the motherboard area are the PSU mount and cooling fans, two critical components for efficient operation. The PSU mount accommodates ATX (PS2), Mini Redundant, or 2U Redundant power supplies, offering users the flexibility to choose the most suitable option for their requirements in terms of scalability, reliability, and adaptability. Cooling is handled by three 120mm fans with a 38mm thickness, delivering server-grade airflow performance. Finally, like all SilverStone rackmount chassis, the RM43-324-RS includes pre-drilled mounting holes for rail slides to attach seamlessly to server racks.
